HFCA strives to intentionally develop characteristics that will benefit its students for a lifetime. Character Development is personified through the school’s established Pillars of F.A.I.T.H:
Fruits of the spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control). As a part of their spiritual formation and growth, these elements will be taught, modeled, and emphasized as values and
characteristics that are produced in a person’s life when they are led by the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23).
Aptitude and Abilities will be explored and cultivated to develop a solid knowledge and awareness of the student’s innate God given talents. This will be emphasized throughout their academic journey, so that graduates
will leave with the confidence to pursue their next steps, knowing they are leaving with a firm foundation (1st
Corinthians 12; Ephesians 4:11).
Innovation and Ingenuity will be the stepping stones of excellence for the student’s chosen field. This will prepare students to be forward minded critical thinkers in identifying current issues in the field they are choosing to pursue
and creating solutions or ideas that are driven by making the industry sustainable and successful. With our
innovation and ingenuity we bring glory to God and serve the world in which we live (Colossians 3:23).
Time and Talents as resourceful commodities to be generously used to better the world and lead others to Christ will be emphasized. Students will develop an understanding of what the Bible says about these treasures and will be
prepared to use them wisely and for the glory of God (Matthew 5:16; 1 Corinthians 6:20).
Hearts for Humanity will be intentionally cultivated to create a generation of leaders who care for others. This will be developed through monthly service projects, an outward look at the community at large, and establishing a
worldview through the curriculum. Students will become more aware of the needs of others as they are equipped to
be selfless and encouraged to be a reflection of Christ as God leads them for the advancement of His kingdom (1
John 4:7-8).
