Samuel David Zimba is a strategic business and organizational leader with over 18 years of experience spanning nonprofit leadership, institutional development, entrepreneurship, and consulting across Africa and the United States. His work centers on capacity building, workforce development, organizational transformation, and sustainable enterprise growth.
Samuel has held senior operational and training leadership roles with respected organizations including Lighthouse Trust and Partners in Hope in Malawi, where he led large-scale training initiatives, institutional policy development, and multi-stakeholder programs supporting health systems and professional workforce advancement. Over the course of his career, he has contributed to securing more than $3 million in institutional funding, coordinated initiatives across 100+ facilities, and authored research briefs and knowledge products influencing national policy and practice.
As an entrepreneur, Samuel founded and scaled Samshaan Auto Diagnostics and Service Centre, a profitable social enterprise that earned government apprenticeship accreditation and was intentionally transitioned to employee ownership—preserving organizational values while ensuring long-term sustainability. He has also developed and produced a nationally broadcast entrepreneurship program focused on equipping emerging innovators in Malawi.
Samuel holds an MBA in Marketing Technologies and Analytics from Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He is a Lawrie Advanced Global Leadership Fellow (2025) and brings a data-informed, human-centered approach to leadership, strategy, and purpose-driven positioning—bridging analytics, storytelling, and real-world impact.
